celticbelle ::: Favorites Many people don't know this, but the BEST way to get rid of hot-spiciness is to eat a spoonful of sugar, moistened with a bit of water, and roll it around in your mouth. The sugar neutralizes the capsaicin (the chemical which gives the feeling of being hot). I don't know if this works for horseradish or not (does horseradish contain capsaicin?) but I know it definitely works for foods seasoned with hot peppers, such as chili, jalapeno, and habanero, etc. 07-07-27 16:20:38 _____________________________________________________
CappyRed ::: Favorites It's not the taste that's the problem: the stuff is just disturbingly hot(well, the good horseradish anyway). The taste... well, it depends. There's good horseradish and bad horseradish... and as with all foods, it's not for everybody.
