Description: On June 26, 2006, Rep. Dennis J. Kucinich (D-OH) was one of the speakers at the ACLU-sponsored "Day of Action to Restore Law and Justice" rally. The popular Congressman, and Democratic Party presidential candidate, blasted the Bush-Cheney Gang for its serial and egregious abuses of the U.S. Constitution and for holding the rule of law in contempt. Rep. Kucinich said: "This sacred document [the U.S. Constitution] has been under assault in ways unprecedented in the history of this country...This administration [the Bush-Cheney Gang] must be held accountable and this is one of the reasons why I introduced the Articles of Impeachment [H Res 333]...We must save our Constitution...and challenge this administration." The spirited event was held at the Upper Senate Park, opposite the U.S. Capitol, in Washington, D.C.
