sygety ::: Favorites 2007-12-24 09:35:55 she is very clean, but more of a naiva then an evil seducer. In the begining after the attitud tour she is turning on her heel, wich is not nice. __________________________________________________
prn4ustat ::: Favorites 2007-12-19 22:05:03 it was good technique..but why is she smiling? i always perceived odile to be fierce and 'evil' and just a little 'devilish' like and cunning, not happy and smiley. but it was great technique. __________________________________________________
AcemanJones ::: Favorites 2007-12-18 15:32:58 gillian murphy? really? uch. __________________________________________________
Grisi93 ::: Favorites 2007-12-16 05:26:30 i dont think shes being cute...i think odiles character is kindof like kitri in Don Q. she has the temper and the...spicyness/ __________________________________________________
cutiealexa ::: Favorites 2007-11-17 13:33:17 I've always liked her; and her dancing but I'd have to agree with some people; she acted a little too cute for this role.... __________________________________________________
Ayelie123 ::: Favorites 2007-11-07 22:31:43 There are different interpretations of the Odile part; some portray her as the evil-to-the-core villainess, while some take the approach that, as Karen Kain once said, "she's a girl at a ball and is out to have fun." Her father really put Odile up to this, wasn't her idea. Both ways work, though some people (admittedly myself included) prefer the stark contrast between the purely evil Odile and the innocent and tender Odette. It's really up to each ballerina to interpret the part :) __________________________________________________
Clockmouth ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 07:07:58 definately! she got the character right on the nail... gillian is perfect! __________________________________________________
Clockmouth ::: Favorites 2007-11-04 07:07:34 i have to agree with youy there. and her hands annoy me.. they're very lazy.. if thats the right word lol. but her movements are soo smooth and they flow and they just blend into each other.. which is areally good quality especially if your a swan. (not sure about odile though) __________________________________________________
debra607 ::: Favorites 2007-11-01 11:27:51 Did someone forget to tell her that Odile is not supposed to be cute? It seems like she has little conception of the character--she smiles and acts adorable, like she's supposed to be Odette... __________________________________________________
horowitz4family ::: Favorites 2007-10-29 20:22:22 Wow, fantastic attitude turns, attitude, artistry, technique,passion, and everything needed for a great dancer. Exquisete! - horowitz4family __________________________________________________
thurstonstanley ::: Favorites 2007-10-27 15:14:19 I don't know why you got a negative for saying this. I agree about the sissone--really shoot that front leg out. Funny she doesn't do this, given her fantastic facility. A very lovely dancer. Her shoes look a little dead for this kind of variation--wouldn't want to do fouettes in them after this. __________________________________________________
tigereyes5 ::: Favorites 2007-10-23 16:49:57 yeah i agree with you __________________________________________________
MissLilyEvans ::: Favorites 2007-08-17 00:24:01 The only thik I noticed that could be improved, not that it's bad, would be getting her front leg up in sisonne. But otherwise I see technical perfection! __________________________________________________
DCstudent ::: Favorites 2007-08-09 09:27:41 I think she is techniquely fantastic. Beautiful feet. her point is just great. However I think she needs to look more evil because this is odile. __________________________________________________
ochemrox ::: Favorites 2007-08-04 00:55:26 sooooo good! alina=amazing. but i kind of like gillian murphy's portrayal of odile in this black swan variation just a tiny bit more. __________________________________________________ |
