bottomlineupfront ::: Favorites Oh, brother. 1) The commander in chief doeesn't directly order the troops to do anything; the commanders on the ground do, starting with company commanders, battalion commandes, brigade commanders up to the MNF-I level with Petraeus. 2) The troops are saving Iraqis from a) living in hell under Saddam and b) al-Qaeda and insurgents.
