Hace un par de años cuando se inició la destrucción de un sector del Campo de Marte- 40% del campo de marte fue cedido - para construir la llamada "Alameda de la memoria" fuimos el único medio, el único en dar la voz de alarma, no precisamente por las mismas razones que hoy se esgrimen cuando se ha conocido el fallo de la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos. Durante semanas tuvimos ásperas disputas con algunas de las instituciones involucradas en ese monumental despropósito. ¿Por qué?. ¿Cuál es la razón?. ¿Siempre defensores de la vigencia de la defensa de los Derechos humanos, de pronto nos pasamos al lado contrario?. No, de ninguna manera . Para nosotros no estaba, como no está en discusión, la erección de un monumento. Ese no es el punto. El punto era y es otro. El punto era y es que existe la ley 16979 del 20 de abril del año 1968 que declara intangible el área verde del Campo de Marte. Por eso nos pareció inconcebible que una persona tan respetable como el doctor Salomón Lerner, a quien agradecimos por presidir la Comisión de la Verdad, se haya involucrado personalmente y al Instituto de Democracia y Derechos Humanos de la Universidad Católica en ese despropósito. El patético ex alcalde de Jesús María, principal responsable de esa barbaridad llegó a aceptar que se podrían hacer muchos otros monumentos. Incluso una institución que suponíamos seria, como Transparencia, representada por su Secretario General doctor Percy Medina, dijo otra barbaridad: el monumento le daba ponía en valor el parque. Y, finalmente, la Defensoría del Pueblo de ese momento. Primero, la adjunta para los derechos humanos de la defensoría del pueblo, Rocío Villanueva en reemplazo del Dr. Albán nos dejó plantados en su oficina y salió corriendo, y posteriormente el mismísimo , Walter Albán EX Defensor del pueblo en funciones, intentó a defender lo indefendible Mención aparte merece la escultora Lika Mutal, de quien parece haber sido la idea original de semejante barbaridad. Aquí no está en discusión su calidad de escultora, aquí está en discusión si el despropósito de destruir un sector importante de área verde de nuestra ciudad se le hubiera permitido en Holanda, su país de origen. Incluso su intento de agresión a nuestro reportero Manuel Rodríguez, una semana después de haber sido inaugurado el monumento. Y hay quien la ha llamado "gran humanista". Esa gran humanista agredió a nuestro reportero. Y su acompañante el señor Gam Klutier lo amenazó. Finalmente, insistimos, no estamos en contra de ese o de cualquier otro monumento que se quiera hacer a las víctimas de la violencia. Es más, tenemos entendido que los familiares propusieron un gran bosque en un lugar de Cantogrande y que por cada víctima se sembrara un árbol. Eso es mucho más inteligente que la barbaridad de la señora Mutal de destruir una de las poquísimos pulmones verdes de la ciudad. http://www.presenciacultural.com/blog |
