wow... an intellectually honest Christian and an intellectually honest athiest... usually the two never meet, in part because neither tends to believe the other can actually exist... __________________________________________________ |

I will look into that. I'm at a bit of a disadvantage because I don't read Greek or Hebrew, but I have access for a fairly large academic library starting in just a few days...I'm sure I can find some excellent resources there. __________________________________________________ |

oops, Psalm 68:25, not 26. The term young woman can in context refer to a young girl prior to marriage. This is well documented throughout the Hebrew world, including Jewish scholars who deny the New Testament entirely. Something to look into if this is your area of interest. I think sadly some Christians will just call you a name or ignore your point. It is not a bad point, but it can be explained without typical modern day Christian weak excuses. __________________________________________________ |

I've studied Greek and Hebrew since 2001 and I've never heard of that author you're quoting. No offense meant! As for the King James, that is a debate usually made by people who don't study Greek & Hebrew. I'm not sure why that author published that part of his book, knowing there is a lot of ancient evidence for multiple meanings to almah, unless he didn't do his research... __________________________________________________ |
