Description: Note: Johnny Depp only acted for Cry Baby, but James Intveld did the singing for him. I'm not sure how Johnny Depp will sound in the upcoming movie, but hopfully he will do a good job. Did I ever montion I'm a huge fan of Sweeney Todd? I thought I'd upload the opening sequence of the play for all you sweeney fans. This is the 1982 Production of Sweeney Todd staring George Hearn and Angela Lansbury(NOTE: Angela Lansbury is not in this scene)

MlleGiry ::: Favorites TheDblStandard though I agree on almost everything you say, I also think that it could go for any musical that not all justice is done. Also, most musicals are based off books anyway, so you could say it doesn't do justice for the book. (Such as Phantom of the Opera, or Les Miserables, Woman in White..etc)I just hope that the movie will not turn out too badly. It can still be enjoyable even if it doesn't meet everyone's standards. TheDblStandard ::: Favorites Sweeney Todd is a Sondheim masterpiece. No film will ever truly do the musical justice. It's the only one I know that jumps between so many emotions, and the score is spectacular.
