Description:
Note: Johnny Depp only acted for Cry Baby, but James Intveld did the singing for him. I'm not sure how Johnny Depp will sound in the upcoming movie, but hopfully he will do a good job. Did I ever montion I'm a huge fan of Sweeney Todd? I thought I'd upload the opening sequence of the play for all you sweeney fans. This is the 1982 Production of Sweeney Todd staring George Hearn and Angela Lansbury(NOTE: Angela Lansbury is not in this scene) |

boardwalkman ::: Favorites Why do I feel like this is live or in HD? 07-10-21 02:23:02 __________________________________________________
HermioneLMS ::: Favorites Ah. Sondheim. How I adore you so. <3 I love the make-up... the sunken eye thing is awesome. 07-10-20 19:10:13 __________________________________________________
MlleGiry ::: Favorites TheDblStandard though I agree on almost everything you say, I also think that it could go for any musical that not all justice is done. Also, most musicals are based off books anyway, so you could say it doesn't do justice for the book. (Such as Phantom of the Opera, or Les Miserables, Woman in White..etc)I just hope that the movie will not turn out too badly. It can still be enjoyable even if it doesn't meet everyone's standards. Along with that, everyone has different tastes in music. 07-10-20 16:51:58 __________________________________________________
apeygirl ::: Favorites I actually like Len Cariou best. Just judging from the album, but his performances effected me the most on an emotional level. 07-10-20 05:37:09 __________________________________________________
NoldoWise ::: Favorites Okay let me rephase what I just said: Geogre Hearn is the best Sweeney Todd to have ever gotten in to costume, and if you can't recinise his voice superiority then you obviously have no worthy opinion in the world of music. 07-10-19 21:48:23 __________________________________________________
TheCrimsonMetal ::: Favorites yeah, i totally agree, but hey, thank god it's tim burton, when i first saw this musical, i automatically knew that if someone was to choose a director to make a film adaptation, it would definitely be Burton 07-10-19 20:07:21 __________________________________________________
TheDblStandard ::: Favorites Sweeney Todd is a Sondheim masterpiece. No film will ever truly do the musical justice. It's the only one I know that jumps between so many emotions, and the score is spectacular. It also makes me sad to have seen that some people think it is an original Burton work, since they've never heard of the musical...very sad. 07-10-19 16:05:54 __________________________________________________
